Great Britain’s junior women teams now know who they will come up against at next summer’s European Championships after the youth draws were conducted by FIBA.
It will be the first time the youth teams at U16 and U18 level will play as GB following the home nations giving up their individual memberships which came in effect from October 1st, 2016.
The Under-20’s will be the first to compete next summer as they head to Eilat, Israel from 8-16 July after being drawn in Group B alongside Croatia, Romania, Belarus, Ireland and the hosts, Israel.
Last summer, GB U20s finished fifth after finishing with a 3-3 record with Kennedy Leonard the leading scorer with 10.6 points per game in Podgorica, Montenegro.
GB’s Under-18s will also go up against tournament hosts as they take on Ireland as well as Slovakia, Ukraine, Macedonia and Moldova in Dublin from 4-13 August.
Meanwhile, the GB Under-16s will complete the summer in Skopje, Macedonia from 17-26 August after being drawn in Group D alongside Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denmark, Slovakia and Switzerland.
There has yet to be any confirmation on the coaching staff that will lead GB.
