Cheridene Green netted a career-high 17 points to help University of Tennessee remain unbeaten on the season as they move to 15-0.
The redshirt junior went 7-of-8 from the field and also added five rebounds along with two assists in the 86-73 SEC victory for the No.7 ranked Lady Vols over Vanderbilt.
“From my perspective, I told myself we just have to have energy, and we just have to communicate,” Green said post-game.
“We have to listen and have effort. That’s what I mainly focused on. If something wasn’t going well, I focused on something else.
“I just made sure that I was communicating with my teammates and going for every rebound. My main thing was just focusing on the little things.”
“I’m always ready, no matter how many minutes I get. I’m always going to be ready to go in even if it’s just grabbing rebounds or talking or playing defence. I’m always ready and excited to play.”
Green is averaging 6.3 points per game so far this season having returned from a long-term injury.
The former GB Under-20 surpasses her 16-point total against Troy last month, which also saw Green collect a career-best of 13 rebounds.
