Charli Wroe

Year born: 2004
Class: 2022
Hometown: Manchester
Position: Point guard
Current club: Manchester Mystics

Describe your game/style of play:

CW: I’m a left-handed scoring PG who is explosive to the basket. I’m a creative scorer and can easily create 5v4 offence with skill and speed.

If you were to have a highlight play in-game, what would it be?

CW: It would probably be beating the defender on the press, an in-and-out cross with the pick-and-roll then with a mid-range jumpshot.

Favourite basketball moment/memory?

CW: It would be winning bronze with England U15s at the Copenhagen International Tournament.

Who is your role-model within basketball?

CW: My brother Jaxon, as growing up I’ve always watched him play and he’s inspired me. I’ve always been picking things up from him throughout the years.

2021-22 season goals:

CW: I want to experience playing in the playoffs with Mystics and to be the lead point guard doing so.

Predict a player to have a breakout season/one to watch:

CW: It has to be Olivia Forster. My old teammate is killing it after moving down to Ipswich earlier this year.
