London Lions have been drawn to face CB Islas Canarias in the EuroCup Women qualifiers ahead of their first-ever European campaign.
Mark Clark’s side will host the first leg before travelling to Spain for the second leg in the aggregate tie that will be determine a spot in the regular season.
The Lions become just the second British side to feature in the competition following Rhonnda Rebels participating in the 2006-07 season.
If they advance from the qualifiers, they will be in Group K alongside Belgian side Castors Braine, Rutronik Stars Keltern from Germany and Czech Republic’s Brno.
Last season’s playoffs and Trophy winners announced their squad in full last week with the majority of their roster returning alongside key additions including GB’s Jo Leedham-Warner and ex-Leicester duo Azania Stewart and Holly Winterburn.
