GB Senior Women Name 16 Ahead of Upcoming Qualifiers

Great Britain Senior Women have selected a 16-player squad ahead of their upcoming EuroBasket Women 2019 qualifiers against Portugal and Israel.

Chema Buceta has included a new name to the National team setup with naturalised American Karlie Samuelson – who had a training contract at LA Sparks last summer.

EuroLeauge Women stars Jo Leedham-Warner and Temi Fagbenle are available once again having starred in GB’s opening victory against Israel in Manchester, while Stef Collins, Chantelle Handy, Azania Stewart and Rachael Vanderwal continue their long-serving commitment.

The squad contains nine players who currently play in the WBBL, including Siobhan Prior who helped Nottingham Wildcats win the recent WBBL Cup title in Birmingham.

GB face Portugal on February 10 before heading to Israel on February 14 before they finish their campaign with back-to-back home games in the final qualifying window.
